When living in the USA, we learned about BJU as a Christian University. We got acquainted with BJU—especially during our last 7 years in Greenville before moving back to Germany—and we love it. By the Lord’s grace He allowed us to save some money during our work years in the U.S. Now we love to support BJU and the students every year from “the Lord’s money,” and we do it with great joy! We realize that the USA needs good and true preaching of the Word, besides teaching in the sciences. BJU, keep going strong in the Lord even in these difficult times!

Our time at BJU provided us with an outstanding education and many fond memories. We are thankful God has allowed us to give back in hopes that others will enjoy the benefits of a Christian education as well.

The name “Miss McCown” is known by many Bob Jones Academy and University students alike. Her work as an English teacher, student teacher advisor, counselor, mentor & steward of our Mack Library has affected hundreds of students from her first years at BJA in the early 1950s to her last in the late 1990s at the library. Miss McCown left a legacy of dedication & excellence—and her legacy lives on in many lives. When Miss McCown met her Savior in December 2019, she left a further legacy of generous financial assistance to current and future students at BJU. We honor her for her life of service and for creating a legacy that will last for eternity.
